This one day workshop will offer an introduction to the basic tenets of Gestalt therapy. Gestalt looks at the whole of the individual; a totality of mind, body, emotion and spirit. It is concerned, and works with the here and now, making it a dynamic, spontaneous and creative approach. Topics that will be covered will include: The process of relating Contact (what it means and how is it achieved) Blocks to meaningful contact The challenge of being rather than doing Helping clients to understand themselves better by encouraging them to notice how they are in the world and with us. When it’s difficult to love/accept the other Jon Wilson Cooper is a Gestalt Psychotherapist, trainer and Supervisor and director of The Albany Centre St Albans with over 17 years experience training counsellors and psychotherapists. Cold drinks and biscuits will be provided throughout the session.
